Tamara "TeeStacey" Chalmers (Singer)

Hi my name is Tamara "TeeStacey" Chalmers. I am from Philly, and I am 25yrs old.  I have been singing in the church since the age of 2. I started out on the children's choir & then the adult choir. That is why my first love is Gospel music, I love the message that it gives to any situation. I also love R&B, Soul, and Jazz. I love soothing tones and lyrics that touches the heart and mind. Kim Burrell, Karen Clark Sheard, Anita Baker, Mary J Blige, Luther Vandross, Boney James, Steve Cole, India Arie, and many more artists have touched my heart. I remember how moved I was when I attended Kirk Franklin’s Rebirth Tour. That when I realized that singing is what I want to do. I want to touch as many people as I can with my music, in a positive way, like the artists that have came before me.  I hope that my music would be used to heal, soothe and relax everyone who listens to it.

While doing security for a friends party's at the Uptown Comedy Club in Harlem he found himself smack dab in the middle of a snaps contest with the cast of the TV show 'The Uptown Comedy Club'. To the surprise of many, he was holding his own against comedy heavyweights like Flex Alexander & Tracy Morgan. At that point, the road manager asked Sugabear if he ever thought of doing standup comedy and invited him down the club to try it out and one week later he did. From then on, Sugabear has been ripping down stages all across the world. He has done the Urban USO tour in Germany twice, he has performed in various comedy clubs including Caroline's on Broadway and television shows such as BET'S COMICVIEW in 2001, 2002, and 2004 and TV One's Who's Got Jokes in 2007. In addition, Sugabear has worked with some of the biggest names in the comedy. These life experiences are just a few of what has and will contine to make Sugabear, the comedian, one of the up-and-coming big names in comedy
